Firepro Design was founded in 2022 out of growing industry demand for quality fire protection system design services, both early in the design phase, and at installing contractor level.
At Firepro Design, we have the experience, accreditations and passion to meet this demand. We can offer full end to end fire protection services, beginning at preliminary consulting level, and seeing the project through, providing the installation contractor with detailed shop drawings.
We aim to build close relationships with our clients by providing the best possible service, and cost effective solutions.

UOC Tupuarangi
UOC Tupuarangi is a large new university accommodation development in Christchurch. Firepro Design was engaged to deliver a comprehensive design-and-build package for the Fire Protection Contractor, including the design and modelling of the fire sprinkler system, fire hydrant system, and fire alarm system.
Te Matapihi
Firepro Design was selected by the Fire Protection Contractor to work alongside the wider design team, delivering fire protection design and modelling services for this large and complex project. Spanning approximately 18,000m², the development required a high level of coordination to integrate the fire protection systems with the project’s architectural features.
Fonterra Edendale UHT
Firepro Design worked alongside the project design team to deliver fire sprinkler and fire alarm design services for this large new processing facility. As part of the scope, Firepro Design provided BIM modelling services, enabling a full fabrication package to be produced so the contractor could prefabricate pipework prior to the building becoming available for installation.
Cottonsoft
Firepro Design delivered the fire sprinkler system design for a large new manufacturing facility. The project presented several technical challenges, including the building’s high roof height and the storage of rolled paper products. International standards were applied to address these requirements, resulting in a successful installation. Firepro Design also provided full BIM modelling and fabrication packages for the project.
Youth Hub
The new Youth Hub facility is a new facility providing wrap around social services to young people. Firepro Design has been engaged by the fire protection contractor to provide a construction level design including fire sprinkler system and fire hydrant system.
Sutton Tools Factory
The new Sutton Tools factory in Rangiora is a high end locally owned manufacturing facility replacing the existing facility which was destroyed by fire in 2022. Firepro Design has been the fire protection consultant for the project tasked with providing a preliminary sprinkler design, water supply assessment and review of proposed storage methodology.
Ashburton College
Firepro Design has been engaged by the fire protection contractor to provide a full design for a large new classroom block.
Christchurch Fresh Distribution Centre
Christchurch Fresh Distribution Centre is a state of the art facility for the distribution of Countdown’s fresh and perishable products throughout the South Island. Firepro Design ltd is completing the installation design for fire sprinkler, hydrant and alarm systems.

Profile
Director, Daniel Mirfin has been working in the fire protection industry for over 13 years. Daniel has a strong history of successful project delivery, through various fire sprinkler design and project management roles within nationally recognised contracting businesses. This contracting experience allows him to know what does and doesn’t work when it comes to physically installing the systems. Daniel takes pride in his ability to solve problems and provide workable, professional design solutions
